Payette River Company is a small-batch, owner-operated rafting outfitter on the South Fork Payette River near Lowman, Idaho. As licensed and bonded Payette River outfitters, Sean and Ginger Glaccum have built one of Idaho’s most respected Payette River outfitter operations since 2006. When you raft with PRC you are not joining a large commercial operation — you are joining a tight-knit crew of experienced guides who live, work, and eat together on the South Fork all summer long.
Sean Glaccum is the kind of Payette River outfitter who has paddled rivers on nearly every continent — Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Peru, Ecuador, and more. This past spring he was in Bhutan guiding fishing expeditions in the Himalayas. He brings all of that experience back to the South Fork Payette every summer.
Sean will most likely be on the water with you — safety kayaking, guiding your raft, or capturing photos from the river that you will see in the slideshow at the end of the day. He built Camp Woopie over 30 years ago and still cooks dinner at camp, drives the shuttle, and greets every guest when they arrive. Thirty-plus years of guiding experience around the world, and he still shows up every morning like it is the best job on earth — because it is.

Ginger is the other half of these Payette River outfitters — and the half that makes everything run smoothly. From the moment you call to book your trip to the moment you arrive at headquarters, Ginger has taken care of every detail. She answers your questions, accommodates special needs, and makes sure you are in the right place at the right time.

There is no one quite like Joe. Guide, bus driver, mechanic, office help — there is nothing Joe won’t do and no one who works harder. In camp for most trips, Joe is the heartbeat of the PRC operation. In his 15 seasons with PRC he has become a genuine treasure to this crew and to every guest who has had the privilege of being in his raft or around his campfire. Personable, funny, and full of stories about the river and the surrounding area — Joe is the kind of guide guests come back to year after year.
Tyson has been described by guests as “pure talent” — and anyone who has been on the river with him knows exactly what that means. In his 12th season with PRC, Tyson brings an energy to the water that is hard to describe and impossible to forget. When he is not on the river, you can find him running Sibbz Longboards or organizing concerts. This guy has all the fun.
Hunter’s story is one of our favorites. He came to PRC as a guest years ago, caught the river bug, and worked hard to earn his place as a full time guide. This season he steps fully into that role with serious skills and a work ethic that shows on the water. An electrician in the off season, Hunter brings the same precision and drive to the river that he does to everything else he takes on.
Carson shares his brother’s background — electrician in the off season, river guide in the summer. But step into Carson’s raft and you will quickly see he has carved out his own place on this river. Tall, calm, and with every rapid memorized, Carson came to PRC with a drive to learn everything about whitewater and has not stopped since.
Steven has been guiding on the Payette River system for over a decade and brings a depth of river knowledge that shows in everything he does. An accomplished kayaker and skilled raft guide, Steven will be with us part time this season. Guests describe him as funny, knowledgeable, and calm under pressure — exactly what you want in a guide.
Avery’s enthusiasm for whitewater is genuinely contagious. In his second season with PRC — part time while he finishes his pilot’s license — Avery brings the kind of positive energy that makes even first-time rafters feel right at home. The sky and the river — this guy aims high in every direction.
Pat is a part time guide who brings a calm, thoughtful presence to every trip. A teacher in his off season, Pat is patient, knowledgeable, and deeply personable. Guests describe him as someone who knows every detail about the river and what to expect — which, after spending your school year in a classroom, makes a lot of sense.
If you have been with PRC for any length of time, you know Noi. She has been a loyal employee and dear friend to this crew for over 18 years — doing everything from shuttles to cooking to whatever else needs doing. And those cookies? Return guests plan their summers around them. Noi is as much a part of this river as the rapids themselves.
